As part of the Approach Adventure 'Experience Series', Approach Adventure, Neighbourhood Yoga & Pro Paddle invite you to their first event - Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding + Beach Yoga, at the Mackay Harbour on Sunday 6th August from 8.30am onwards. This event is designed purely to introduce you to this activity without pressure and surrounded by supportive women.
If you ever thought you'd like to try this activity and haven't had the opportunity yet, now is your time. Grab a girl-friend or just come along, there will be plenty of welcoming faces on the day at this Women's only event.
A delicious, light breakfast will be served along with tea, coffee and juice. Participants will also have the chance to take part in a a gentle yoga stretch with Julieanne Bergmann of Neighbourhood Yoga as part of the mornings activities (no prior expereince in yoga necesssary) as well as connect with other like-minded women from Mackay.
What to bring:
- sense of adventure
- sun protection
- yoga mat if you have one, if not a towel is perfectly fine
- towel and change of clothes
- your camera
What do I wear to do Stand Up Paddle Boarding?
You can wear whatever you are comfortable in! Some people like to wear their swimmers under a pair of board shorts and a t-shirt or active wear is also popular. Whatever you feel you can stretch in and you are happy to end up swimming in - if in the event you end up in the water! A change of clothes is a good idea if the later does happen!
